Your lending, your KiwiSaver and your cover are looked at together, not in three separate conversations.
Advice on home lending is paid by the lender, so there's no fee for the mortgage work in most cases.
We compare the main banks and non-bank lenders and put your case to the ones that fit it.
Reduce the debt. Grow the wealth. Cover the risk.
Zeal Mortgages is about collaboration — working together to grow your wealth and reduce your debt. Zeal Insurance sits alongside it so the plan holds up if life changes.
Start with a number, finish with a plan
The calculators give you a ballpark in a minute. What they can't do is tell you which lender will say yes, or how to split the loan. That's the conversation.
Bringing the Zeal back to New Zealand
Independent mortgage and KiwiSaver advice from Ken Knight, with Zeal Insurance alongside for the cover behind it.
Three parts of the same plan. Most clients come for one and end up sorting all three.
Pre-approval through to settlement, and a review before every rollover.
Fund choice and contribution settings, checked against when you want to buy.
Life, trauma, income protection and health cover, reviewed with your lending.
A lump sum for your family if you die, so the mortgage doesn't become their problem.
Money in hand on diagnosis of a serious illness or condition.
A monthly payment if illness or injury stops you earning.
Faster access to private treatment and specialists.
Mortgages · KiwiSaver · Insurance
One team helping you build, protect and plan for the future. If Zeal already arranged your lending, your cover gets reviewed against it.

Common questions
For most home loans the lender pays the adviser commission, so there's no fee to you. If a fee ever applies we tell you before any work starts.
Usually 20% for the best pricing, though 10% and 5% options exist depending on the lender, the property and your income.
If you've contributed for three years and it's your first home, most of your balance can go towards the deposit. We check the timing so it lands before settlement.
Sometimes. We get the break cost from your bank and compare it against the saving before you commit either way.
Your deposit is probably already half-built
Ken has advised on KiwiSaver since 2015. Fund choice, contribution rate and first-home withdrawals, checked against when you actually want to buy.
The self-employed rate of thumb — $1,042 a year, enough to collect the full government contribution. No employer contributions apply.
If you're buying in two years, a growth fund is the wrong place for your deposit. If you're buying in ten, a conservative fund costs you a lot.
You need three years of membership before a first-home withdrawal. We check your dates early so it isn't a surprise at settlement.
Providers need notice and your solicitor has to lodge it. We build that into the timeline with your lending.
Our exclusive partnership with Generate KiwiSaver
Zeal works exclusively with Generate — a specialist KiwiSaver provider with a proven performance track record, and New Zealand owned.
Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future performance. Generate is the issuer of the Generate KiwiSaver Scheme; a product disclosure statement is available at generatekiwisaver.co.nz.
Cover sized to your mortgage, not to a brochure
Life, trauma, income protection and health cover, placed with New Zealand insurers and reviewed as your lending changes.
A rough starting point
Three questions gives you an indicative level of cover to react to. It's a conversation starter — the real numbers depend on your household, your ACC position and what you already hold.
If you need to claim, you deal with us rather than a call centre.
Cover and premiums checked each year against your income and lending.
A review often ends with keeping what you have. That's a fine outcome.
Ballpark numbers, in a minute
Estimates for your own planning. Lender policy, credit history and living costs all change the real answer.
Know where you stand
Four short steps covering your deposit, income and commitments. It shows what's setting your number and what could move it.
See how much sooner you'd be mortgage-free, and how much interest you'd save, by adding a little to each repayment.
Assumes the interest rate stays the same for the whole term. Some fixed-rate loans limit extra repayments or charge break fees. An estimate only, not advice.
